A Scandinavian bed and breakfast
Inspired by the surrounding landscape, Kungs Starby gård B&B was created to make your visit a unique, comfortable and relaxing experience. Our rooms are carefully curated, with comfortable beds with sustainable down duvets and pillows and of course organic bedding and towels.
At Kungs Starby gård we offer three beautiful double rooms in the north wing. You can relax in the cozy living room and breakfast is enjoyed in the dining room downstairs where you at your own convenience can also make an espresso or a cup of tea during the day.
A group of friends or colleagues? Book the entire North wing and thoroughly enjoy yourselves. Get in touch and we will arrange that.
We also offer stays in the lovely chicken coop. You don't have to share it with any chickens though. Beautifully renovated perfect for a longer stay- complete with a kitchen, bathroom, living room, bedroom and your own terrace in a private garden.
Breakfast
Served from 8-9.30 pm
Just follow the lingering smell of fresh home baked sourdough bread, and enjoy organic tea and espresso, granola, juices and all the lovely things that make sure you are off to a wonderful day. If the weather allows - do enjoy your breakfast in the garden!
We serve organic and local produce. We get our beautiful ham from Vadstena Saluhall, the coffee is from Vadstena Rosteri, the tea comes in biodegradable bags, our eggs are laid by hens who live only five minutes away and the apple juice is made from apples from our garden.
About us
There should be a picture of us here. But being the photographers we are, there is none. We'll make sure to arrange one! In the meantime, you can take a look at the fantastic sea buckthorn cultivation that meets you at the entrance to the farm.
We are two photographers who leave Stockholm to live and work at Kung's Starby farm. Karl is from New Zealand, and after a few years in New York he made his way to Stockholm for a life with Lina.
We moved to Kung Starby gård B&B in July 2023, and the first thing on the list was to redo the guest rooms a lot. The rooms are set up with walls that breathe through beautiful chalk paint, comfortable double beds that are made with soft organic materials and with durable and sustainable fluffy down pillows and duvets.
Sustainability is important to us. For our daughter, and her future children, if it comes to that. And all the other children. It is a given.
We create an environment that induces calm. Rent a bike and you'll be at Rådhustorget in two minutes. When you return to us and your room, the whole garden awaits with silence and a good night's sleep. Just breath.

Travelling with dog?
Dogs are welcome in the Hen House. We charge 350 SEK that is paid on site.
